GASTRO+ is a unique pellet (7 mm) that we have developed in collaboration with Paardenkliniek Venlo (horse clinic Venlo) to support a healthy stomach activity:

Gastro+ is blended with a special cocktail of sodium bicarbonate, calcium carbonate, magnesium and additional probiotics to sooth the stomach and support a normal pH-value.

This helps to regenerate the stomach lining. Gastro+ is a nutritionally complete feed with a high specification of amino-acids, vitamins (i.a. 400mg Vit.E), and trace elements; providing your (sport) horse with all nutrients it needs.

A low starch content in combination with a high content of alfalfa, promoting the chewing and saliva production. Alfalfa and saliva are both proven to be a natural buffer to acidity in the digestive tract. Extra oil is included with an optimal omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acid ratio that support antiinflammatory effects. Also, it provides slow releasing energy to support optimal performance.

FEEDING GUIDELINE

It is important to feed a diet and quantity that meets the lifestyle and needs of the horse.

A general guideline for the recommended total amount of concentrates per day: •

For maintenance and basic sport: 0.2 to 0.5 kg per 100 kg bodyweight. •

For (top) sport: 0.5 to 1.0 kg per 100 kg bodyweight.

Divide this daily ration into at least 2-3 meals per day. Always try to feed a minimum of 1.5% of bodyweight as good quality forage. Fresh drinking water must be available at all times.
